Vicki Copeland

June 18, 1945 — December 22, 2021

Burleson

Vicki Copeland passed away on December 22, 2021 at the age of 76.  She breathed her last earthly breath at Huguley Hospice with her family by her side, sharing her stories in laughter, remembering the love she gave, and returning one more hug with a kiss before she drew in her first heavenly breath.  We find comfort in knowing of the celebration in the reunion she had with our loved ones who went on before. Vicki is now at peace, giving thanks to her Lord and Savior for the gift of salvation.

Vicki was born on June 18, 1945 in Nashville Tennessee to George Robert Greer and Rosa Idell Martin.  She grew up in Linden, Tennessee before the family moved to Fort Worth Texas in her teen years. She graduated from Polytechnic High School, in Ft Worth in 1963. Vicki met the love of her life, John Copeland in the summer of 1962. They were joined in matrimony in the fall of 1963. Vicki worked for the City of Fort Worth as an elevator operator, then as a stay-at-home mom, before working at National Can Corporation in Ft Worth as a Quality Control Inspector. She worked for National Can for 15 years and one day before retiring early. Vicki in her retirement years was a co-founder of Vann/Elli Inc of Joshua, TX.

Vicki and John shared a full life in their 58 years together by building businesses, sharing adventures in visiting almost every one of the states and the pleasure of extended travel to see the world abroad. Special times were had while traveling with family/friends to sandy beaches, snow covered mountains or sitting front row to see a favorite country western music stars.   Vicki and John also shared a passion of giving to others.  Vicki enjoyed playing the piano with her daughter Bonnie and sharing with her son Robert, the gift of painting. Vicki was a true animal lover. She loved animals and they loved her.  From her St Bernard Booley Ann to her beloved Bassett Hound Ben and to her last love Buddy the shiatzu, she found joy in taking care of each animal or bird that came into her life. Vicki’s most beloved pet was a lopped ear rabbit named Piglet.  A sweet bunny who lived for almost 14 years under her care.
