Cathy Fellows

Cathy Lynn Fellows, 65, a former cashier and sales associate. Cathy, left this world peacefully and into the waiting hands of the Lord late Wednesday afternoon June 22, 2022. Now void of more than two decades of pain and afflictions, she is surely celebrating her heavenly presence with her mom and others who traveled before her.

Born Cathy Lynn Pope July 10th, 1956 in Fort Worth, Texas to Bobby Ray Pope and Marie Miller Pope. She was a 1974 graduate of Everman Senior High in Everman, Texas.

Cathy first began a career in the childcare profession in 1971, and later served as the cafeteria cashier at JD Bishop Elementary School in the Everman ISD. She last worked for 15 years as a sales associate in the shoe department of the Mansfield, Texas Walmart store before retiring early in 2011.

Cathy, or affectionately known by most as “NoNo”, not only by her grandchildren but her children, daughter and son in laws, friends, associates, and many acquaintances. Although one of Cathy’s greatest passions was insuring everyone was fed usually by hosting frequent family and friend gatherings, her greatest love was caring and spending time with her grandchildren. Cathy often showed compassion for those less fortunate, directly to the homeless and associates, and frequently donating financially or providing clothing to children in need organizations, local meals on wheels and food bank programs, and of course animal rescue organizations.

When able Cathy, enjoyed reading, crafts, and entertaining family.

Cathy married Carl Savage on May 2, 2011 in Hurst, Texas after being partners for several years prior. Together they have supported each other, their families, siblings, and parents for over 25 years.

Cathy was preceded in death by her father Bobby Pope, mother Marie Miller Savage, and brother Steven Edward Pope.

Cathy is survived by her husband of 11 years Carl Savage of Cleburne Texas; two daughters, Miranda Russell Pack and her partner Sean Patterson of Venus, Texas and Nikki Fellows Blacksher and her spouse Matt Blacksher of Roanoke, Texas; two stepsons, Christopher Savage and his partner Amber Pace of Joshua, Texas and Robert Savage and spouse Tonya; 9+ grandchildren; 1+ great grandchildren; siblings, Guy Pope and spouse Karen of Mansfield Texas, and Bobby Pope of Granbury Texas; stepsiblings, Charles Savage and spouse Deana of Keene, Texas, Laura Franks and spouse Jerry of Burleson, Texas, Winnie Troutman of Newark, Texas.
