Cindy Liner

Cynthia Biar Liner, 60, passed away on August 26, 2021, surrounded by family in Fort Worth, TX. She was born on November 11, 1960, in Fort Worth, TX to Mark and Pearl Biar. Cindy grew up in Fort Worth, TX with her three sisters. She attended Southwest High School where she made many lifelong friends while performing with the band. After high school graduation in 1979, Cindy attended the University of Texas at Arlington where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. She began working for the Arlington Police Department in February 1985 and served as a Police Service Assistant until her retirement in August 2014. She received over 30 awards for her service to the city. Cindy was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mansfield, TX.

Cindy married Dwight Liner in March 1984 in Fort Worth. They were happily married for 37 years. Cindy enjoyed water skiing, snow skiing, playing softball, attending church, traveling to Colorado and Florida, caring for her pets, sipping Chick Fli A sweet tea, cheering on the Texas A&M Aggies and spending time with family and friends.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Pearl Biar and her son, Michael Liner. Cindy is survived by her husband, Dwight, daughter Taylor and husband Keith Kouba, son Kenneth Liner and wife Dana, sister Kathy Fitch, sister Beth Biar and husband Mike Drybread, sister Diane and husband Richard Garritson, grandchildren Brock Liner, Dylan Liner, Shelby Liner, Beckham Kouba, Bowen Kouba, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other family and friends.

A visitation will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home (500 Kennedale Sublet Rd., Kennedale, TX) on Tuesday, August 31st from 6pm to 8pm. Cindy’s celebration of life will be held at St. John Lutheran Church (1218 East Debbie Lane, Mansfield, TX) on Wednesday September 1st at 10am. Burial will follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park (500 Kennedale Sublet Rd., Kennedale, TX). In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Arlington Police Association Santa Cops (1801 W Park Row Dr., Arlington, TX 76013). The family wishes to extend their gratitude to St. John Lutheran Church, the Arlington Police Association, Chick Fli A Little Road, Carla Strauser, and Heart to Heart Hospice of Fort Worth.

Cindy was an amazing woman. She cared for others with intention and loved without reserve. We are blessed to have been able to call her wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed and we look forward to being reunited with her in Heaven someday. Philippians 4:13 - “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”
