Deborah Parsons

October 31, 1959 — October 27, 2018

Mansfield

Fiercely loyal. Positive and uplifting. Family focused. A little bit bossy.

These are just a few ways Deborah Parsons has been described by those who loved her the most. A mother of three daughters and four grandchildren, she went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the age of 58.

Deborah was truly a one of a kind gift from God who didn’t “battle” cancer for the past five years, she waged a full-on war against the disease. And it’s not surprising because that’s how she lived her whole life – bold and in charge.

She was the woman who would walk right in your house without knocking; bark orders to anyone listening; dance like no one was watching; laugh like it was the funniest thing she ever heard.

This positive, hilarious and uplifting woman, often described as “the life of the party,” also fiercely loved her family and friends and she made sure everyone knew it.

Terra, Bridget and Audri will never have to wonder how their Mom felt about them because she told them every day how much she loved them, how beautiful they were and how proud she was of them. And the same was true for her grandchildren, Haylee, Kaylee, Tynlee and Mikey, her Mom, brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and all of her family and friends. If Deborah loved you, you absolutely knew it so as you grieve her loss, remember the power of her spoken words over you and etch them on your hearts.

Deborah had a disease that afflicted her body and took her from us too young, but the disease of cancer didn’t define Deborah, it just reminded us of who she always was and that’s a woman of faith who truly lived life and loved her family and friends with all of her heart. She worked hard and never gave up on anyone or anything. She demonstrated through her war on cancer that she’s a fighter – a warrior really. But the truth is, she was always that woman and there are a lifetime of memories to prove it.

There will be a huge piece missing from the hearts of everyone who loved Deborah so when you feel the pain of her loss and don’t know how to move forward, just get up and dance and know that she’ll be doing the same right beside you.

Deborah’s father Bobbie Joe Parsons, Sr. preceded her in death.  Deborah is survived by her three daughters Terra Parsons, Bridget Parsons and Audrianna Parsons; mother Rose Parsons; three granddaughters Haylee Meisner, Kaylee Faulkner, Tynlee Moore and grandson Michael Hamilton, Jr.;  Siblings, Sister Nell Upton and husband Terry, Brothers;  Bobbie Parsons Jr. and wife Dawn, John Parsons and wife Nicole, and numerous other loving family members and friends.
