Henry James McNair, 56, passed away on January 6, 2022 in Fort Worth, TX. He was born on January 23,1965 in Gary, Indiana to Nello, Sr. and Rena (Warren) McNair.

Henry grew up in Gary, Indiana. He graduated from West Side High School in Gary, Indiana in 1982. After high school he attended Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa where he received a BS in Transportation Logistics. After beginning his career at Burlington Northern Railroad in Transportation Management, he pursued his Masters at LeTourneau University in Longview, TX where he received a MBA in Business Management. After leaving Burlington Northern Henry worked other jobs in the transportation industry before landing his final job with Fort Worth ISD in the field of Education. He worked with FWISD until his health would no longer allow him to do so. Henry was also a vital part of the family’s Early Childhood Education program.  The children were drawn to his gentle, loving spirit.

Henry married Barbara Booker in 2005 in Grand Prairie, TX. They were happily married for 16 years. Henry was a member of Community Bible Fellowship of Irving under the leadership of Pastor Kevin Harris. He enjoyed spending time with his family, reading, studying the Bible and leading others to Christ.  Henry served as an Elder and in other church leadership positions prior to joining his current church.

Henry was preceded in death by his father, Nello McNair, Sr. and his brother, Ricky McNair.

Henry is survived by his mother, Rena McNair of Temple City, Ca; his wife, Barbara of Fort Worth, TX; his son, Rickey Booker of Irvine, CA; his daughter, Kristen (Danny) Hernandez of Fort Worth, TX; his daughter, Kaylon Lightfoot of Grand Prairie, TX; his brother, Nello, Jr. (Hazel) McNair, of Temple City, CA; his brother, Robert (Lorraine) McNair of New Braunfels, TX; his grandchildren, Austin Mushatt and Khloe Mushatt; his nephews and nieces, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Henry was very instrumental in leading many people to Christ.  He led by example. He has impacted many lives and will not be forgotten.
