John Evans

John Andrew Evans, 70, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Medical City of Arlington in Arlington, Texas. He was born on February 4, 1950 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to William and Lucille (Helton) Evans.

John grew up in Hurst, Texas. He graduated from Celeste High School in Celeste, Texas in 1968. After high school he:

began work for Westvaco as a tech on printing machines where he worked for 21 years. He worked for Motheral's Printing for 11 years. He retired in 2008 after 32 years.

John married Jan MacArthur in 1983 in Hurst, Texas. They were happily married for 37 years. He enjoyed riding his Harley, working on his motorcycles, classic cars, playing with animals, watching TV.

John was preceded in death by his parents, William & Lucille and by his sister, Nancy.

John is survived by his spouse, Jan of Arlington, Texas; his sons, Jason Evans of New Hampshire and Juan Fuentes of Arlington, Texas; and daugter Kim Steele of Bedford, Texas; his grandchildren, Megan/Stratis, Kristen/Kolter, Melissa/Brandon, Olivia and Noah; his great-grandchildren, Hendrix, Stratis, Henley; and various nieces and nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home 500 Kennedale Sublett Road, Kennedale, Texas 76060 at 11:00 am, November 27, 2020. A visitation will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home at 10:00 am, November 27, 2020. The family will be greeting friends and relatives at 10:00 am, November 27, 2020. Burial will follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park.
