Karla Marie (Hughey) Aaron, age 60, passed from her life here on earth and entered into the arms of her heavenly father from her home in Arlington, Texas on Friday, January 7, 2022.

Karla was born in Oklahoma City, OK on March 31, 1961 to Dan and Marie Hughey.  She was raised in Porum, Oklahoma and attended all grades in Porum Schools.  She was a valedictorian of her Senior Class of 1979. She graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie Texas with an Associate Degree in Business Education.  While completing her degree she met Paul Aaron and they began dating and married, one year later, in May of 1981.

While residing in Waxahachie, Texas, continuing earning degrees, working, and ministering in local churches, they added a son to their family, Brandon Aaron.  About 8 years and many life experiences later, they added their second son, Kolton Aaron which completed their family.

Karla served her family well as loving mother and devoted wife. She also dedicated her life to the ministry of the church serving in teaching roles to children.  She taught Missionettes for many years then taught Ranger Kids since she had two boys.  She eventually became the North Texas District Ranger Kids Coordinator. She helped both of her sons earn their Gold Medals of Achievement in the Royal Ranger program.

Karla also spent many hours supporting Paul’s ministry as he recorded albums and traveled with his ministry in music playing his clarinet.

Karla became the co-founder of both family businesses, Advantage Balloons where she became a certified Balloon Artist and decorated events and Grand Openings for the past 33 years, and Bannertime, where she served as the Store Manager for 16 years.

Karla is preceded in death by her mother, Marie (Mickles) Hughey and a brother, Danny Hughey (stillborn) and her grandparents, Ruth and John Hughey and Dee and Frankie Mickles.
