Kevin Lawson Sr.

On the morning of August 8, 2022 Kevin Scott Lawson, Sr. of Arlington, Texas passed away at the age of 78. Kevin was born in 1944 in New York, NY to William Gilbert Lawson and Mary Jane Scott Lawson. Being the son of a career navy father, Kevin’s family moved around the eastern seaboard. The last years of his high school, his family lived in Florida. Upon leaving high school, Kevin joined the Marines and served from 1962-1967 in the 2nd Division and obtained the rank of Sergeant. While serving in Quito, Ecuador, he met and married his wife, Jeane. Upon returning to the U.S., they eventually settled in the DFW area to raise their 4 children. Throughout his professional career in DFW he was a bindery worker and foreman at various of the large binderies in the area.

Kevin is preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Erin; and his siblings, Faith Marie Knowlton and Barry Lawson.

He is survived by daughters, Ann Marie and Samantha; son, Kevin, his former wife, Jeane; and his siblings, Kathleen Coder and Billy Lawson.
