Nathan Mathews

October 13, 1943 — October 8, 2019

Kennedale

Nathan Earl Mathews, born in Denton, TX on October 13, 1943, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 8th, 2019 around 5:50 a.m. after a long battle with Alzheimer’s and lung cancer.

He loved the simple things in life. Jesus, his family, music, cars, football, dominos, chicken fried steak, golf, and of course his little Lady dog, who he spoiled rotten. He was a GOD fearing man who worked hard to provide for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Lonzo Mathews and Pearl Adeline Searcy Mathews, and his brothers Edward D., Nehemiah, Thomas, and Phillip.

He is survived by his wife Melba and their daughters and sons-in-laws, Tammi and Mark Bransom, Liz and Robert Cook, and Elaine and Micheal Tune. Also, by their six grandchildren Ashli, Tiffanni, Mark II, Victoria, MaryFaith, and Kyle and their nine great grandchildren, with the tenth on her way in January.
