Paul Henry De La Cruz, 62, passed away on June 9th, 2021, in Arlington, TX. He was born on February 21, 1959, in Los Angeles, California to Frank and Martha De La Cruz.

Paul grew up in Northeast Los Angeles California, and moved with his family to Simi Valley, California in 1974.  He graduated from Simi Valley High School in 1977.

Paul began working for General Motors Corporation in 1979 as an assembly line worker for 30 years: 18 years in Van Nuys, California then transferred to Arlington, TX and worked the last 12 years until he retired in 2009. Successfully completing 30 years of service.

He attended Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California.

Growing up, Paul played little league baseball, high school basketball, city league basketball, and pop warner football.

Paul married the love of his life, Beth Doss in December of 1984 in Newport Beach, California.

He enjoyed playing music, and was passionate about being in bands, recording albums and playing the electric, acoustic and bass guitars. He enjoyed bike riding and playing basketball. He was a two-time participant in the Los Angeles Marathon in the early 90's. Paul loved all things sports: and was a loyal fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, Dodgers and Rams. He enjoyed fishing with his friends in his retirement years and playing his music.

Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Martha, father Frank and brother Ben.

Paul is survived by his two beautiful daughters Stephanie De La Cruz and wife Brooklyn of Kennedale, TX, and Kiersten De La Cruz of Dallas, TX: his brother Frank De La Cruz (Anna), Sister Chicky De La Cruz (Randy), brother Dan De La Cruz, brother Eddie De La Cruz, and his sister, Andrea De La Cruz. His grandson, Felix Benicio De La Cruz Chavez. His nieces and nephews, Christopher Hernandez, Christiana, Rosemary, Rachel, Candace, Cassandra, Jacqueline, Andrew, Ariana, Albert, Gabriela, Jasmine, Christian, and Kaito De La Cruz

A memorial service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd, Kennedale, TX 76060 at 1pm, Saturday, June 26th.

A visitation will also be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home on Friday, June 25th from 6-8 PM.
