Obituary

Roy Earl Douglass, 77, passed away on April 13, 2022 at Mansfield Methodist Hospital. He was born on July 19,1944 in Hobbs, NM to Earl Howard Douglass and Rutha Bell Norris Douglass.

Roy grew up in Aspermont, TX. He graduated from Aspermont High School in 1962. After high school:

He was in the air conditioning business for 50 years. 
Joined the Texas Army National Guard in 1967 and served for 4 years.  Specialty: helicopter mechanic.
He was a member of Gateway Church in Mansfield, TX

Roy married Margaret in 1965 in Arlington, TX. They were happily married for 56 years. Roy enjoyed fishing and being outdoors, loved Alaska and west Texas, talking about the old days and current events, watching cowboy movies, and spending time with his family.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bud.

Roy is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; his daughter, Denise Moseley (spouse: Greg); his son, Dennis Douglass (spouse: Tiffany); his brothers, Walter Douglass, and Don Douglass (spouse Janette); grandchildren, Brooke Moseley and Jack Douglass, and multiple nieces and nephews and other family.

A visitation and funeral service will be held Monday, April 18, 2022 at Emerald Hills Funeral Home 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd Kennedale, TX 76060. Visitation is from 1pm-2pm with the Funeral Service starting at 2pm, both at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
