Tamara Wilson

December 20, 1962 — October 12, 2021

Kaufman

Tamara Lea Maxson Wilson was born on December 20, 1962 to Rodney and Millie Maxson in Fort Smith Arkansas.  She was a baby doll come true for her big sister, Debbie and that relationship never ended.  Her older brother Kent and older sister Joan weren’t so sure about her at first, but in true Tammie fashion, they quickly fell victim to her charm and adored her.  As their neighbor said, “No one sticks together like those Maxson kids.”

Tammie graduated from Abilene Cooper High School and the University of Texas – Arlington and she was a mortgage underwriter for decades, but she could care less if you knew those things.  Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren.  She gave birth to her first daughter, Lyndsay and the Maxson clan couldn’t get enough of her.  A few years after that, Tammie gave birth to twins, Bryan and Brittany and the Wilson clan was formed.  Lyndsay married James McGraw who became part of the clan as if he had always been there.  Lyndsay and James brought Bradyn and Lea to the clan and their Nawnaw was crazy about them.  Bryan brought Trynton into the clan who loved his Guh almost as much as she loved him.

Tammie embodied the word “Love” like no one we have ever known.  If you knew her, you loved her and she loved you right back.  Our family doesn’t believe in “what-ifs” or “if onlys”.  We believe that everything happens in its appointed time, even if it’s not what we wanted.  We love Tammie and look forward to spending eternity with her one day.  But oh how we will miss her until then.

There will be a Celebration of Life visitation with the family on Sunday, October 17 from 2:00-4:00 at the offices of Burgher Haggard, 2501 Ridgmar Plaza, Fort Worth, TX  76116.  Please do not send flowers to this location as it is an office building and there will not be someone there to receive them.  There will be a formal funeral on Monday, October 25 at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 5110 North Garfield, Midland, TX.  Burial will be private at a later date in Midland.  Though Tammie had tons of charities that were near and dear to her heart, the family has chosen Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Midland Texas for any memorials.

Tammie is survived by her precious grandchildren, Trynton Wilson, Bradyn McGraw, and Lea McGraw.  Also surviving are her children, Lyndsay and James McGraw of Arlington, Bryan Wilson of Forney, and Brittany Wilson of Arlington; her  parents, Rodney and Millie Maxson of Midland, her siblings, Debbie Lawrence of Midland, Kent (Cindy) Maxson of Nashville, and Joan (Steve) Mayo of Denison, along with beloved nieces who loved their shenanigans with Aunt Tammie.
